Olympic success for young Coylton swimmer Laura
18 NovemberYoung Coylton swimmer Laura Logan enjoyed medal success when she competed in a special Olympic event in Cardiff, with support from Ayrshire Sportsability.
Ayrshire Sportsability, a local charity which promotes the wellbeing of children and young people with a disability through sports, donated a grant of £200 to Laura to help towards her costs of attending the event.
Laura managed to win two silver medals with personal best times in the 25 metre fly and 50 metre freestyle races.
Dr Wai-yin Hatton, Chair of Ayrshire Sportsability and Chief Executive of NHS Ayrshire & Arran, commented: “I would like to congratulate Laura on her success at the Cardiff Olympic event. Ayrshire Sportsability is proud to support Ayrshire’s young athletes in pursuing their sporting goals and competing at national levels is an outstanding achievement.”
