Home-buyers camp out in queue for new Coylton properties

Homebuyers looking for an ideal property have been camping out to make sure they were first in the queue to move into a new Coylton housing development when the properties went on sale this week.

The Hope Homes' Manse Green development in the Coylton proved so popular with home-buyers that many camped out for days to ensure that they got the home they wanted - even though the new houses haven't been built yet, and were buying off-plan.

Amongst those in the queue were Ayrshire couple Margaret and George Park, who were keen on moving to a quieter location and also giving themselves more space. The parks queued for days to make sure of their new home.

Margaret said: "We were buying off-plan but there were seven or eight people there already waiting for them to be released." The Manse Green development is now fully sold out.
