Coylton school summer holiday date changed

by Rebecca Garrett

All schools in Coylton will close on Tuesday, June 26 2012 instead of the previously advertised June 27.

A spokesperson for South Ayrshire Council said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Please contact our schools department if you have any queries on 01292 612266.

“Every effort is made to plan school holidays well in advance so that parents have sufficient notice to make arrangements. Unfortunately, there are occasions when changes require to be made to the holidays and we undertake to notify parents as quickly as is practical.

“The Council had considered altering the school holidays for 2012/13, but an early end of term closure in June was considered to be the least disruptive option.”
