Bowlers march on at Scottish Championships

Coylton's two representatives at the Scottish Bowling Championships at Northfield in Ayr have made it through their first round matches, and are now looking forward to progressing in the event.

In the singles championship, John Candlish scored an emphatic 21-5 win over Alistair McLelland of West Netherton, and will now play Peter Brown of Crail in the second round on Friday 30th July at 11.30am, on rink six of green A.

Coylton's junior singles player Craig Cobbledick also came through his first round game, beating Matthew Norrie of Brora 21-17. He will now face Kevin Anderson of Dumbarton on Friday at 3.30pm on Friday.
